Methylene Blue Injection

Each vial contains methylene blue trihydrate 50 mg (equivalent to 42.77 mg of methylene blue anhydrous) in water for injections to 5 mL. Sodium hydroxide and/or hydrochloric acid may be used for pH adjustment.

Indication:
Used for the treatment of idiopathic and drug-induced methaemoglobinaemia. It is also used as a bacteriological stain, as a dye in diagnostic procedures such as fistula detection, and for the delineation of certain body tissues during surgery.
