Charcotrace® Injection (activated charcoal)

Charcotrace Injection is a sterile suspension. Each vial contains activated charcoal 120 mg and sodium chloride in water for injections to 3 mL. The injection contains no antimicrobial preservative. Sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid are used for pH adjustment.

Indication:
As an aid in stereotactic or ultrasonic localisation of small impalpable lesions of the breast for later surgical excision.
